Roy's journey began with a degree in Computer Science from Cambridge University, where he achieved first-class honours at the young age of 20. He then went on to consult for industry giants such as BBC, Acorn (now ARM), and Phillips, and worked as a research engineer for BT and HP Research Labs. It was in 1993 when he first started coaching professionally and has since become an expert in the field.
